.:How Classes/Volunteering Works:.

What makes our environment a bit unique is that we allow kids and families to pick their classes/volunteer spots each week. We are finding that by giving families the freedom to pick different choices each week, they truly thrive in big ways and it helps us all rediscover a joy for learning and community again! The things we’ve seen happen in our environment have truly been amazing to witness.

This approach does make it a bit tricky to coordinate everything though and there seems to be a bit of a learning curve for how we make this happen, but it does work really well!

To put it as simply as possible, class information and signup sheets are posted on our website with info emailed each Friday. This email is known as the Links & Info email.

Families are able to take the weekend to decide what classes they want to take before needing to submit their signups by Sunday nights. Our planners meet Monday to go over final plans and all grocery shopping is done Monday morning. The video below explains it all much better than we can down here :)

.:Locating Weekly Information:.

When you are enrolled in our sessions, class/volunteer signups, schedules and information for the week is updated in our CCCCurrent Signups section each Friday before the week starts. You can locate this page by clicking the menu bar in the top left corner of this screen and selecting CCC Current Signups.

The GREEN section has the printable schedules and class description pages for the week.

The PURPLE section has all of the week’s signup sheets, including Kids’ Jobs and Early Helper signups.

The YELLOW section shares what is being made in the kitchen that week and if you need to bring your own food or if snacks/meals will be provided.

.:What If Help Is Not Needed Where You Signed Up?:.

Sometimes we have too many adults in a room and not enough in another. If you get into the space you signed up for and see that extra help is not needed, please see the floater of that round or Mrs. Christin for any other areas that may need help. With being a child-led environment, we can’t always anticipate every aspect of how the day goes - which means we go with the flow as it flows :)

.:What If You Can’t Make It?:.

We get it, life happens. We ask families to communicate with us as soon as possible if your plans change to ensure we have enough coverage in our classrooms or can open a spot for another student to attend a class. Communication is so helpful and greatly appreciated :)
