Attentiveness
Session 2
This one’s all about the little details in life!
Let’s get into the importance of paying attention as we practice and develop attentiveness and focus! Our classes will explore a variety of ways to improve focus and memory, see what happens with distractions, experience the rewards of following through, and discover ways to help us look at the big picture!
Early Helper Signups
Families arrive at least 45 minutes early to prepare classrooms & activities, set up tables & chairs, etc. If you have little ones, they can come too.
All families are required to sign up for Early Helper Spot(s). If you attend both days, sign up for (2) spots - one on Tuesday and one on Thursday please. If you are unable, please email Mrs. Christin to find another way you can help.

Bricks 4 Kidz Coding Classes
Learning to code successfully requires careful attention and focus to the task at hand. Even small additions or omissions to the code can result in the entire string not working. Come ready to work carefully to develop skills that will unlock a wonderful world of programing music, stories, and games! These “green” classes will build on skills each week, so please plan to attend each session.
Coding Basics
Round 2: (Ages 7+)
Kids will need independent reading skills to be able to work in this class as they learn the basics of Scratch coding language.
Coding Concepts
Round 1: (Ages 10+)
Moving things up a notch as kids dive deeper into the world of Scratch coding with Mrs. E. Having some Scratch coding experience is helpful.
Biological Explorations
Round 2: (Ages 12+)
Students in this class have already signed up for the year and do not need to signup again. They will continue their classes in the same round as the previous session. If your child is not on the list, please add them.
Comic Creations
Round 3: (Ages 6+)
Session 1 was just a sampler of what we were going to be doing this year in Comic Creations. This session, we begin a 10-week journey as we brainstorm, create, develop and complete our very own comic book story! By the time this class ends, each child will have their very own comic to take home!
Nature’s Story
Round 2: (Ages 3-8)
Great books and time outside together can help us all open to the magnificent world in which we live. That is the heartbeat of Nature’s Story. We will enjoy reading and exploring outdoors as long as the weather allows. We will also be memorizing Rachel Field’s poem, Something Told the Wild Geese, and reciting it together during the break time on week five.
The Story Forge
Round 3: (Ages 9+)
This class is a five week writing course where our students’ goal is to walk away with a completed writing project. We will start at the idea generation stage and end with a revised edition of writing. Giving each other feedback on our drafts will be a part of the process so we can cultivate the virtues of attentiveness and humility.
Tony’s Workshops #3 & #4
Rounds 1 & 2: (Ages 9+)
Join Mr. Tony in our wood shop space with all new projects this session! This 4-week class helps students develop and improve their craftsmanship skills - blueprinting, materials prep, construction, and finishing their Christmas themed designs.
